Per NCAA guidelines, UNCP Athletics primarily uses rapid antigen testing for the regular screening of student-athletes and staff participating in competitive sports. Rapid test results are generally returned within 15 minutes to an hour. SHS may also use rapid antigen tests in specific circumstances to screen individuals and identify the presence of COVID-19. ![]() Results from these tests are generally returned in 24 hours up to several days. The primary test used to diagnose infection is the standard PCR test. UNCP uses a variety of COVID-19 TESTS to determine exposure risk on campus.
